PeaceHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse - Medical to join our dedicated team in a Per Diem/Relief (0.00 FTE), Variable Shift position. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced nurses who value flexibility while making a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and their families.

Pay Range: $44.27 - $71.09 per hour

Compensation Is Based On Experience, Education, And Qualifications.

This position is represented by a collective bargaining agreement. Multiple openings may be available.

About the Role

As a Medical RN, you will provide professional nursing care to patients across a variety of medical and surgical conditions. You will collaborate closely with physicians, interdisciplinary team members, patients, and families to ensure safe, high-quality care and positive outcomes.

What You'll Do

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
• Deliver compassionate, evidence-based nursing care
• Accurately document patient care in the electronic health record
• Coordinate and delegate care appropriately among the healthcare team
• Advocate for patients and support family-centered care
• Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and infection prevention initiatives
• Maintain clinical excellence through ongoing education and professional development
  
  

Qualifications Required

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire
• Minimum one year of clinical nursing experience as a staff nurse, or ability to successfully complete orientation to competency
  
  

Preferred

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• One year of recent Registered Nurse experience

Department-Specific Requirement

Medical/Surgical Observation Unit & Neurology

• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification required within 6 months of hire
  
  

Working Environment

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare setting, including patient handling, mobility assistance, CPR performance, and exposure to clinical environments where body fluids, airborne particles, and other healthcare-related hazards may be present.
