PeaceHealth is seeking an experienced Nurse Midwife to join our team in Ketchikan, Alaska!

Practice Highlights
- Provides direct clinical services and management of mothers and babies as defined in the standing orders, policies, procedures and protocols for the certified nurse midwife.
- Obtain patient health histories and complete physical examinations. Document findings noting pertinent normal and abnormal findings. Order and interpret appropriate diagnostic and laboratory tests.
- Perform approved therapeutic procedures based upon patient’s clinical status. Document patient preparation and response to procedure(s).
- Collaborate with physician and nursing colleagues and document in medical records and appropriate narrative summaries.
- Educator Assess educational needs, plan, provide, and evaluate educational programs for nursing staff, interdisciplinary healthcare team, and community.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Our Trauma IV emergency department operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, staffed by physicians who are independent contractors employed by National Emergency Services (NES).
- Guaranteed first-year income, based on a 1.0 FTE and years of direct experience (0-3, 3-5, 5-9, 10 )

- Relocation stipend based on miles between locations
- Education Loan Reimbursement program (if applicable and eligible)
- CME: up to $3,800 per calendar year for CME and/or professional dues/fees (based on 1.0 FTE; prorated for lower FTE)
