What You'll Do

As the Nurse Manager - Medical Surgical, you will provide leadership for 24-hour nursing operations while fostering an environment focused on quality, safety, service excellence, and caregiver engagement.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Oversee daily operations of the Medical Surgical unit, including staffing, patient outcomes, quality initiatives, and regulatory compliance
  • Lead, mentor, and develop nursing teams while promoting a culture of accountability and professional growth
  • Drive recruitment, retention, engagement, and succession planning efforts
  • Monitor operational and financial performance to achieve departmental goals
  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing leadership, and interdisciplinary teams to improve patient care delivery
  • Support strategic initiatives and organizational priorities
  • Evaluate performance, conduct annual reviews, and provide ongoing coaching
  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, accreditation, and organizational standards
  • Promote clinical excellence, patient safety, and exceptional patient experiences
  • Participate in patient care activities as needed

What You'll Bring

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited nursing program
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license; WA RN license by date of hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire
  • Minimum three years of related nursing experience
  • Minimum two years of leadership experience
  • Demonstrated progressive leadership responsibilities, such as Charge Nurse, Supervisor, or similar leadership roles
  • Financial and budget management experience
