PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend | Springfield, Oregon

Full-Time | 0.90 FTE | Day Shift (0700-1930)

Salary Range: $22.35 - $33.16 per hour

The hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to education, training, work experience, terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement, seniority, etc.

This position is represented by a collective bargaining agreement. There may be more than one opening on this posting.

What You'll Do

As a CNA on our Cardiology team, you'll help patients feel safe, supported, and cared for throughout their healthcare experience.

You will:

• Provide hands-on patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
• Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, eating, and hydration.
• Support patients with walking, mobility, transfers, and exercise activities.
• Take and document vital signs and other patient care information.
• Observe changes in a patient's condition and promptly communicate concerns to the nursing team.
• Assist with treatments and basic clinical tasks within the CNA scope of practice.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked patient care environment.
• Document care accurately in the electronic medical record.
• Answer phones, support coordination of care activities, and help keep the unit running smoothly.
• Contribute to a positive, compassionate experience for patients and families every day.
  
  

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

Credentials

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Oregon
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire
  
  

Experience

• Acute care experience preferred
• Knowledge of age-specific patient care and ability to adapt care to individual patient needs
  
  

Skills

• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently and stay organized
• Comfort adapting to changing patient needs and priorities
• Basic computer and documentation skills

Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend: CNAs may have opportunities to work in other nursing units within the hospital after completing required training, unit-specific competencies, and leadership approval.
