PeaceHealth is seeking a Biomed Technician II – Clinical Engineering for a full-time Day shift position (1.0 FTE).

In this role, you’ll help ensure the medical equipment caregivers rely on every day is functioning accurately and safely—making a direct impact on patients, clinical teams, and the overall care experience.
The salary range for this position is $35.12-$52.68 per hour, depending on factors such as education, training, experience, applicable collective bargaining agreements, and seniority.
About the Role
As a Biomed Technician II, you’ll work alongside clinical staff, vendors, and fellow technicians to maintain and support a wide range of biomedical equipment across the hospital. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, continuous learning, and being a trusted technical resource in a healthcare environment.
You’ll perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, calibration, and safety testing on medical equipment while helping support the daily operations of the Clinical Engineering department. You may also serve as a subject matter expert for specific systems and help mentor team members through training and cross-functional collaboration.
What You’ll Do
- Install, maintain, calibrate, and repair a variety of clinical and biomedical equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance and electrical safety inspections to help ensure equipment reliability and patient safety
- Troubleshoot equipment issues independently and coordinate vendor support when needed
- Maintain accurate service documentation, maintenance records, and work orders
- Support equipment evaluations and assist with purchase recommendations for new devices and systems
- Partner with caregivers and departments across the hospital to provide training and technical support
- Help maintain inventory records, parts tracking, and the department’s computerized maintenance management system
- Ensure outside vendor work meets quality and compliance standards
- Stay current with technical documentation, equipment updates, and safety requirements
- Contribute to a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Support and mentor fellow technicians through collaboration and knowledge sharing
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is technically skilled, detail-oriented, and motivated by meaningful work that supports patient care. Strong communication and collaboration skills are just as important as technical expertise in this role.
What You'll Need
- Associate degree in Biomedical Technology, Electronics, Physics, U.S. Military Biomedical training, or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in biomedical equipment repair
- Valid driver’s license
Bonus Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Instrumentation Technology
- Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET)
- Experience with maintenance management and parts ordering systems
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
