Job Details
Short Stay Unit RN
Start Date : ASAP (4 weeks from offer for compliance requirements)
Shift : 3x12 days
Ratios : Our PACU staff does pre-op / PACU, and phase II
Years of Experience REQ : Minimum of 1 year Required of clinical experience as a Pre-op / PACU RN. Clinical experience as an OR Staff RN preferred.
Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience as a Pre-op / PACU RN
1 year of Epic experience preferred
Certifications Required : BLS, ACLS, PALS
Skills Required : Phase I PACU, Phase II Recovery, Pre-Post, Endo / Laparoscopic, General, Gyn, Ortho, Ortho / Total joints, Tonsillectomy, Cholecystectomy, Colon surgery, Blood Product Administration, Starting IVs, Pyxis, Anticoagulants, Narcotics / Analgesics, Procedural Sedation Administration, Circulation Checks, Open reduction and internal fixation, Total joint replacement, Management of pediatric patients, Airway assessment, Extubation LMA / ET, Placement of Oral / nasal airways, all Types of Anesthesia, Pre / Post Op Care of the Patient
Schedule Information
Shift : 3x12 days
On-call REQ : Yes, Call depends on how many people we have in the unit covering. If there are 4 people then you will have to cover at least one weekend per month if there are 4 weekends in the month. It would be the same with call during the week. It's self-scheduling, but we make sure all days / weekends are covered.
