Job Overview
Peaceful Peaks LLC is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and motivated Virginia Certified Peer Recovery Specialist to join our growing behavioral health team. The Peer Recovery Specialist will provide peer support services to individuals receiving mental health and/or substance use treatment services while promoting hope, recovery, self - advocacy, and community integration. Duties
- Provide peer recovery support services to individuals in the community
- Assist individuals with developing recovery goals and self - advocacy skills
- Encourage engagement in treatment and community - based supports
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation
- Participate in team meetings and supervision
- Support Individuals in accessing community resources and services
Qualifications
- Experience working with individuals with mental health and/or substance use disorders
- Knowledge of community resources and recovery - oriented care
- Experience with documentation and case coordination
- Hold a current Virginia Certified Peer Recovery (CPRS) credential
- Posses a Valid Drivers License
- Have reliable transportation with current vehicle insurance
- Have access to a laptop or tablet for documentation and communication purposes
- Demonstrate strong communication, professionalism, and interpersonal skills
- Be able to work independently and within a team environment
