Role Description The IIC (Intensive In-Community) professional will provide on-site intensive counseling and support services to youth and families in Newark, NJ as part of a contract role. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting individual and family sessions, implementing treatment plans, and using therapeutic interventions to address behavioral, emotional, and social needs. The IIC will collaborate with caregivers, schools, community providers, and referral sources to ensure coordinated care. Additional tasks include maintaining timely and accurate documentation, participating in case reviews, and adhering to all clinical and regulatory requirements. The role may involve flexible scheduling, including evenings or weekends, to meet client needs at the designated location.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated skills in individual, family, and community-based counseling, with the ability to deliver intensive in-home services.
• Strong assessment, treatment planning, and crisis intervention skills, including the ability to manage complex clinical situations.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with clients, families, schools, and community partners.
• Knowledge of child and adolescent development, trauma-informed care, and culturally responsive practices.
• Proficiency in maintaining clear clinical documentation and using electronic or paper record systems as required.
• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field (or equivalent relevant experience as permitted by local regulations).
• Current professional license or eligibility for licensure in New Jersey (e.g., LSW, LCSW, LPC, LAC, LMFT, or equivalent), as applicable to the role.
• Experience working with youth and families in community or home-based settings; prior IIC or intensive outpatient experience is preferred.
• Ability to work on-site in Newark, NJ, maintain reliable transportation, and meet scheduling requirements for client visits.
