As a Veterinary Technician at Peaceable Kingdom Animal Hospital, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our animal patients. This position is essential in delivering high-quality veterinary care and supporting our commitment to compassionate service.
Responsibilities
- Support surgical procedures by preparing patients and monitoring anesthesia.
- Assist veterinarians in examinations and procedures for various animals.
- Perform diagnostic tests, including X-rays and laboratory work.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by the veterinarian.
- Provide exceptional pet care, including handling and restraint during procedures.
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care and post-treatment instructions.
- Maintain accurate and complete medical records for each patient.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the clinic environment.
Qualifications
- Certification or degree in veterinary technology preferred but not required.
- Strong skills and knowledge of anesthesia, surgical assistance and exam room assistance.
- Strong knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and common medical conditions.
- Strong laboratory skills, including sample collection, preparation and analysis.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast paced team environment.
