Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Travel Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in various healthcare settings across different locations. As a Travel Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering patient-centered care while collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor patients' conditions, including vital signs and medical history.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, adhering to aseptic techniques.
- Perform specimen collection processing and manage documentation in electronic health records, such as Epic.
- Provide care in specialized areas such as hospice palliative medicine and critical care transport.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and families on health management, pain management strategies, and post-discharge instructions.
- Maintain compliance with all safety protocols and regulations within the healthcare facility.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications
- Current nursing license valid in the state of practice.
- Experience in medical-surgical nursing or critical care preferred.
- Proficient in vital signs assessment and management of patient care needs.
- Familiarity with MDS (Minimum Data Set) processes is a plus.
- Strong skills in specimen collection processing and documentation practices.
- Ability to work independently while also being a team player.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Willingness to travel frequently and adapt to new environments quickly.
