What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Caregiver position at Peace Of Mind Child Development Center?
Peace of Mind Child Development Center is seeking Assistant Child Caregivers for children ages 6 Weeks -12 years old.The Assistant caregiver is responsible for assisting the Lead Teacher in the day to day functions of the classroom. This includes, but is not limited to assisting in; daily schedule, lesson planning, small and large group activities, supervising children during participation in structured activities, cleaning duties and building strong relationships with our families while still maintaining confidentiality.
- Graduate from High School
- Must be 18 Years of age or older.
- Must pass the Michigan Child Care background check (Fingerprinting)
- Must be able to obtain or become Infant, Child and Adult First Aid/ CPR certified.
- Teachers Assistant must complete 24 hours of training yearly. R 400.8131 in the State of Michigan Licensing Rules for Childcare Centers.
- Be professional, outgoing, responsible, and a team player.*
- Must be a mature adult that can interact appropriately with children and staff members.
- Education and work experience is preferred but not required.
Other Responsibilities
- Supervise and monitor children's indoor and outdoor activities
- Keep records of children's progress, routines and interests and relaying needed information to parents
- Assist in preparing food and serving meals
- Maintain a clean and sterile environment
