Join our neurodiversity-affirming mental health team as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or LPC-S, where you will play a vital, leadership role in providing compassionate, evidence-based psychological support to neurodivergent populations, and overseeing 3-5 supervisees. In this engaging position, you will deliver individual, group, and /or family therapy sessions according to your strengths, utilizing a variety of therapeutic modalities to promote mental wellness and functional success. Your expertise will help clients navigate complex emotional and behavioral challenges, fostering positive change and improved quality of life. We are looking for a team member with leadership skills, a desire for continued lifelong learning and personal growth, and an ability to direct and guide the next wave of counselors who model confidence in the individuals and families that we serve.

  • Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations using ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to accurately identify client needs.
  • Provide psychotherapy services including cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance/movement therapy, and more tailored to individual client goals.
  • Facilitate group therapy sessions focusing on social nuance, behavioral and emotional regulation, parenting, rejection therapy, OCD/anxiety groups, and other specialized areas.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop personalized treatment plans and case management strategies that address complex diagnostic presentations.
  • Document all patient interactions thoroughly in HIPAA-compliant medical records, ensuring accuracy in medical terminology and adherence to confidentiality standards as well as in alignment with ACA ethical standards and insurance standards for reimbursement.
  • Engage in clinical supervisory duties such as group supervision, 1:1 supervision, crisis management support, and more.

  • Valid licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or equivalent in the relevant state of Alabama or jurisdiction.
  • Demonstrated experience in psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, person-centered or play therapy.
  • Strong background working with children, adolescents, adults and individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), OCD, ADHD, and mood disorders.
  • Proficiency in crisis management techniques and crisis intervention protocols within outpatient settings.
  • Knowledge of ICD-9/ICD-10 coding systems for diagnostic evaluation and medical documentation purposes.
  • Experience with telehealth platforms and delivering virtual counseling sessions effectively.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology related to behavioral health and experience working within HIPAA guidelines for patient privacy.
  • Excellent communication skills for intake assessments, patient care coordination, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and sometimes complex situations involving co-occuring presentations, while supporting the family as a system and connecting clients and their families to meaningful resources. Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
