Job Title: Nursing Assistant
As a Nursing Assistant/PCA/Caregiver, you will play a vital role in delivering compassionate care and support to patients in a beautiful, home-like assisted living environment. You’ll be the heartbeat of our team, assisting with daily living activities and providing essential, person-centered support. What you’ll do
- Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and eating to promote their independence and dignity.
- Monitor and record vital signs, ensuring timely communication of any changes to the nursing staff.
- Provide basic medical care, including catheter care and medication administration under supervision.
- Support patients with mobility challenges using equipment like Hoyer lifts and assistive devices.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in electronic health record (EHR) systems while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Engage with patients to provide emotional support and companionship, enhancing their overall experience.
- Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in patient care.
Basic qualifications
- Licensure as a Nursing Assistant or equivalent experience in a healthcare setting.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and basic physiology knowledge.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in long-term care, or assisted living environments.
- Familiarity with EMR systems for efficient documentation.
- Background in working with individuals with care needs or dementia care.
