Duties
- Lead and supervise the maintenance department, fostering a proactive safety culture and high-performance team environment.
- Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance strategies.
- Oversee the repair, inspection, and upkeep of HVAC systems, electrical networks—and mechanical equipment to ensure operational excellence.
- Manage industrial maintenance tasks such as troubleshooting schematics, reading technical diagrams, and using tools like ohmmeters to diagnose electrical issues accurately.
- Coordinate projects related to facilities management, including upgrades, renovations, and installation of new equipment while adhering to safety standards and project timelines.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations related to electrical work (including high voltage), mechanical systems, and industrial processes. and regulatory compliance.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and asset management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors to streamline operations and minimize downtime.
- Lead training sessions on equipment operation, emergency management, safety procedures, schematics interpretation, and preventive maintenance best practices for staff development.
- Monitor industry trends in facilities management and regulatory requirements.
Skills
- Proven supervisory/ management experience leading maintenance/environmental services teams within a health care environment.
- Strong proficiency with scheduling work orders, asset tracking, and reporting.
- Solid understanding of HVAC systems operation, repair techniques, and preventative maintenance protocols.
- Mechanical knowledge encompassing machinery diagnostics, repair procedures, and industrial equipment upkeep.
- Expertise in facilities management practices covering building systems optimization, safety compliance and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple initiatives simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Leadership qualities that inspire teamwork, foster continuous learning, and promote a safety-first culture.
- Effective communication skills for clear documentation and collaboration across diverse teams.
- Strong customer service skills.
