What are the responsibilities and job description for the Feathers Spa - Massage Therapist (Full Time) position at PEABODY MANAGEMENT INC?
REPORTS TO: Spa Supervisor, Spa Managers/Directors.
SHIFT Must be able to work weekends.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Spa and Salon areas.
Job involves working:
- under variable temperature conditions (or extreme heat or cold).
- under variable noise levels.
- outdoors/indoors.
- around fumes and/or odor hazards.
- around dust and/or mite hazards.
- around chemicals.
KEY RELATIONSHIPS:
Internal: Staff in Spa, Laundry, Housekeeping and Engineering.
External: Hotel guests/visitors, Spa members, vendors.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards.
- Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment. Use equipment only as intended.
- Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day.
- Maintain positive guest relations at all times.
- Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas.
- Maintain knowledge of hours of operation, memberships, reservations, fees, treatments, products and merchandise.
- Set up and organize workstation with designated supplies, forms and resource materials; report shortages to supervisor.
- Be familiar with all hotel/spa packages, promotions, prices and rates.
- Perform opening procedures.
- Inventory products.
- Schedule guest appointments.
- Handle no show appointments.
- Greet guests.
- Verify medical releases from guests with applicable medical conditions.
- Conduct appointments according to guest’s comfort and desire. Follow massage sequence.
- Follow draping procedures.
- Sell merchandise.
- Depart guest.
- Follow dirty linen procedures.
- Handle emergency procedures.
- Close station.
- Check out with Supervisor.
SECONDARY JOB FUNCTIONS
- Assist with other Spa job functions as assigned.
- Document maintenance needs on work orders and submit to Manager/Supervisor.
