Role Description This full-time, on-site Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant role is based in Memphis, TN. The clinician will provide direct patient care, including obtaining histories, performing physical examinations, diagnosing and managing acute and chronic conditions, and prescribing medications within scope of practice. Daily responsibilities include ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, developing and updating care plans, delivering patient education, and coordinating care with physicians, specialists, and support staff. The role involves documenting encounters in the electronic health record, participating in quality improvement initiatives, and supporting preventive care and chronic disease management. The clinician is expected to collaborate closely with the internal medicine team and contribute to a respectful, inclusive, and patient-centered work environment.

Qualifications

  • Current Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in the state of Tennessee, with national certification (e.g., AANP/ANCC for NP or NCCPA for PA).
  • Demonstrated clinical skills in internal medicine or primary care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up care.
  • Strong patient communication and counseling abilities, with a focus on health promotion, disease prevention, and shared decision-making.
  • Proficiency in electronic health records, documentation, and basic clinical technologies commonly used in outpatient practice.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team, manage time effectively, and prioritize multiple patient needs.
  • Commitment to maintaining professional ethics, cultural sensitivity, and respect for all patients and colleagues.
  • Experience in outpatient internal medicine or family practice is preferred; new graduates with relevant training will be considered.
  • Graduate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
