Manual Machinist

Position Summary: This position includes but it is not limited to setting up and running manual mill and saw, as well as CNC router.

Experience & Accountabilities:

· Responsible for manual mill setup and operation

· Must be able to read blueprints and especially precision sheet metal drawings

· Must be able to read and use a digital caliper, height gauge, protractor and other inspection equipment

· Must be able to set-up and operate the manual mill and saw (Experience with 3 Axis and 4 Axis CNC Machinery a plus)

· Ability to machine in tight tolerances

· Ability to troubleshoot programs using G&M Code

· Ability to program edits and adjustments

· Experience with specialty tooling

· Experience with tooling Changes

· Validate parts meet customer specifications, 1st piece and in-process verification

· Must be able to read and sign off on company job travelers

· Must be able to identify problems and report to and work with the appropriate area supervisor

· Ability to support other duties, as assigned

· Ability to stand for more than 4 hours at a time

· Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more

· A clean driver’s license and reliable transportation (Our facility is located within walking distance of Shrewsbury Park & Ride.)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
