Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Courier Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for timely and safe delivery of packages, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining efficient route driving. Prior delivery driver experience and familiarity with warehouse operations are highly valued.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles, including box trucks and other delivery vehicles, following all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Load and unload packages using appropriate equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Deliver packages to customers accurately and on time across assigned routes, providing excellent customer service throughout each interaction.
- Manage route driving efficiently, adjusting for traffic or road conditions to meet delivery schedules.
- Assist with warehouse tasks including loading, unloading, and organizing inventory as needed.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure safety and proper functioning of the vehicle.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch or supervisors regarding delivery status or issues.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, with a strong understanding of route driving and navigation skills.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Experience operating commercial vehicles such as box trucks; manual transmission experience is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and moving of packages safely; familiarity with warehouse equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks is desirable.
- Excellent customer service skills to ensure positive interactions during deliveries.
- Strong organizational skills for managing deliveries efficiently within scheduled routes.
