As a Shipping/Receiving Specialist-Level 1 here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in the efficient movement and storage of materials within our Industrial Automation business. You will be responsible for tasks such as receiving, storing, and distributing materials, as well as maintaining inventory accuracy. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety will contribute to the smooth operation of our supply chain.
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our logistics team. This role is essential in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of incoming and outgoing shipments. The ideal candidate will have experience in shipping and receiving operations, possess strong basic math and computer skills, and be comfortable working in a warehouse environment.
Duties
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders or invoices.
- Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labeling items accurately.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks for loading and unloading goods.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using MRP/SAP systems to track stock levels.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the shipping and receiving area.
- Assist in conducting regular inventory counts to ensure accuracy.
Experience
- Previous experience in shipping and receiving roles is preferred.
- Familiarity with order picking, packing processes, and e-commerce fulfillment is a plus.
- Basic math skills for accurate counting and measurement of packages are required.
- Experience operating a pallet jack is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment is essential.
