Pay Rate: $16.76 – $26.00 / hour (Based on experience)
Job Type: 3-Month Temporary Assignment (Possibility for permanent full-time placement based on performance and business needs)
Shift & Schedule Options
Primary Shift Options:
6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Overtime Expectations: Overtime is common to meet production demands and is typically scheduled as:
Up to 2 hours after your regular shift.
Occasionally 1 hour before your regular shift
Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable, skilled, and detail-oriented Welder to join our manufacturing team in Mansfield, MA. In this role, you will primarily support high-volume production welding, while occasionally contributing to custom prototype work. You will work extensively with various grades of carbon steel and stainless steel, handling both fabrication and final assembly tasks.

Key Responsibilities
Production Welding: Perform consistent, high-quality welds on production parts for the majority of the shift, with occasional crossover into prototype development.
Multi-Process Applications: Weld and assemble components utilizing manual MIG and TIG processes.
Material Handling: Work primarily with different grades of steel and stainless steel (other metals are rarely utilized).
Fabrication & Fit-Up: Fabricate, align, and fit components, including welding pre-fabricated parts into finalized assemblies.
Fixture Setup: Set up shop fixtures and lay out work blueprints for both standard production runs and new prototypes.
Automation Support: Operate programmed/mechanized welding machines for automated production units and assist machine operators during peak high-volume cycles.
Quality Assurance: Ensure all completed welds meet rigorous internal quality standards, including passing destructive and non-destructive testing (NDT) where applicable.
Certifications & Testing Requirements
While formal external certifications are not required for non-ASME parts, ASME welding certifications are required for pressure vessel work and must be completed in-house according to our company weld procedures.
Candidates who are not currently certified but can successfully pass our practical in-house weld test will be fully considered. Required in-house certification capabilities include:
Short Arc MIG: Mild Steel to Mild Steel (F1 Flat position)
Short Arc MIG: Mild Steel to Stainless Steel (F1 Flat position)
Spray Arc MIG: Mild Steel to Mild Steel (F1 Flat position)
Short Arc Pipe Welding: Mild Steel Pipe to Stainless Steel Pipe (F2 Horizontal position)
Submerged Arc Welding (SAW): Pipe applications (F1 Flat position)

Education & Dress Code Requirements
Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
Dress Code / Required PPE: Steel-toe boots/shoes are strictly required on the shop floor at all times
Pay Details: $16.76 to $26.00 per hour
