As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will support both Engineering and Operations in meeting daily production and quality goals while advancing continuous improvement initiatives. Your responsibilities will include:
This role directly supports a product transfer from a partner location and will be heavily engaged in the casting area, a mechanically intensive environment. You’ll work hands-on with mixing systems, pumps, piping, valves, and casting equipment, collaborating closely with Maintenance and Manufacturing Engineering to troubleshoot mechanical issues and sustain equipment uptime.

Pay Details: $90,000.00 to $110,000.00 per year

What You’ll Do
Responsibilities
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will support both Engineering and Operations in meeting daily production and quality goals while advancing continuous improvement initiatives. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing engineering support to production teams for existing and new products
- Serving as the primary resource for creating and maintaining 2D and 3D CAD models and drawings
- Designing and implementing manufacturing fixtures, jigs, tooling, and automation solutions to improve safety, throughput, and cost
- Leading root cause investigations, failure analysis, and corrective action efforts
- Creating, updating, and maintaining manufacturing documentation, including work instructions and process standards
- Supporting automation and process optimization projects in collaboration with CI and automation teams
- Participating in new product introduction (NPI) and launch readiness activities
- Analyzing and optimizing process flows and routings to reduce waste and improve efficiency
- Partnering with Quality to define inspection standards, critical characteristics, and resolve non-conformances
- Applying Lean manufacturing principles to drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Training and mentoring shop-floor personnel and junior engineers
- Delivering technical updates and presentations to cross-functional teams and leadership
- Maintaining high standards of organization, attention to detail, and project follow-through

Required
Required & Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or related Engineering discipline
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Inventor
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working in a production environment
- Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills
- 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing or process engineering role
- Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification
- Experience with core manufacturing tools:
- PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Flow Diagrams
- Root Cause Analysis (5 Whys, Fishbone)
- SPC and 8D problem solving
- Working knowledge of industrial automation systems, sensors, actuators, and machine safety components
- PLC experience (Allen‑Bradley or Siemens) for troubleshooting or minor logic changes
- Demonstrated success leading cross-functional initiatives in team-based environments
