Pay Details: $54.49 per hour

Role Details
- Job Type: Full-Time Consultant (12-month assignment)
- Schedule: Monday–Friday (9/80 schedule)
- Location: Chandler, AZ 85286 (On-site)
- Pay Rate: $54.49 per hour
- Potential: Contract-to-hire opportunity (aligned with Design Engineer 3/4 career path)
As a CAD/CAM Engineer, you will:
- Create and review detailed mechanical drawings and design packages ensuring full compliance with industry and military standards
- Develop and validate 3D models and assemblies using Siemens NX 2412 managed in Teamcenter
- Perform fit, function, manufacturability, and tolerance analysis to optimize designs
- Apply GD&T expertise to ensure drawings meet quality and production requirements
- Generate and revise parametric drawings in accordance with ASME standards
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams
- Resolve technical drawing interpretation issues and support production readiness
- Liaise with vendors and suppliers on design and manufacturing requirements
- Verify models submitted to manufacturing for accuracy and completeness
- Support continuous improvement in design efficiency and documentation quality
- Optionally contribute to team leadership or supervision, as needed
Required Qualifications
- 5–20 years of experience in CAD/CAM or mechanical design engineering
- Strong proficiency in Siemens NX (preferably NX 2412) and Teamcenter
- Deep understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
- Experience creating and reviewing detailed mechanical drawings and assemblies
- Familiarity with ASME drawing and modeling standards
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Windows)
- This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
- Experience in aerospace or defense manufacturing environments
- Knowledge of tolerance stack-up analysis and hardware fitment
- Prior experience supporting production or manufacturing teams
- Leadership or supervisory experience within engineering teams
