**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- - Perform any of the following tasks to receive, store, and distribute material, tools, and equipment.
- Responsible for receiving, moving, gathering, packaging, or distributing material.
- Package material per work order instructions.
- Gather material by hand, machine, forklift, or crane and use strapping tools to band product together for shipment.
- Mark material with identifying information or attach identifying tags or labels. Spray paint material, structures, and equipment according to identification or specifications.
- Clean work area, machines, and equipment using broom, shovel, rags, vacuum, and cleaning compounds.
- Complete daily safety inspections on cranes and forklifts.
- Stage rail cars inside building for unloading and staging them outside of building for removal.
- All additional tasks assigned by Supervisor and/or Manager.
**Required Skills**
**REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS**
Knowledge
- Thorough knowledge of methods, materials, equipment and tools used in the material handling process.
- Working knowledge of computerized production systems, products, and inventory.
- Knowledge of applicable safety rules and regulations related to material, equipment, and processes.
- 1 year of experience on a variety of work assignments as a warehouseman or equivalent.
- Use considerable judgment and discretion in performing, demonstrating, and directing duties.
- Read and interpret work orders and instructions.
- Maintain records related to work performed using manual and computerized record keeping systems.
- Provide training and instruction to Laborers/Helpers.
- Analyze and respond to emergency situations.
- Read, write, and communicate with others.
- Demonstrate the ability to use tools and equipment needed to measure and band for shipping.
