Job Summary
Moeller Real Estate is looking for a skilled, dependable Painter to join our apartment turnover team. This role is almost entirely hands-on painting and drywall prep — you'll be the person who turns a worn, vacant unit into a fresh, move-in-ready home. We're looking for someone who takes pride in clean lines, smooth walls, and a professional finish, and who enjoys steady, consistent work across a growing portfolio of communities.
Painting (70%)
- Perform full-unit interior painting — walls, trim, ceilings, and doors
- Apply primer and paint using brush, roller, and sprayer techniques
- Deliver clean, professional-grade finishes that match existing colors and sheens
- Complete touch-up painting efficiently between full-unit jobs
- Protect flooring, fixtures, and finishes while painting; keep work areas clean and organized
- Maintain a consistent quality standard and pace across multiple units
- Occasional painting of exterior – decks, doors, misc projects.
Paint & Drywall Prep (20%)
- Patch, tape, mud, sand, and texture-match drywall repairs
- Repair or replace damaged drywall sections before painting
- Prep surfaces — fill nail holes, sand walls, clean surfaces — for a paint-ready finish
- Maintain, clean, and organize painting tools and equipment
Team Collaboration (10%)
- Communicate unit status and progress with the property management and maintenance teams
- Coordinate scheduling to keep unit turnovers on track
- Support teammates as needed and help uphold high property standards
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an interior painter (apartment turnover or residential experience a plus)
- Skilled with drywall patching, taping, mudding, and texture matching
- Comfortable using brushes, rollers, and sprayers to produce a professional finish
- Strong attention to detail — clean lines, even coats, no missed spots
- Able to work efficiently and independently to meet turnover deadlines
- Reliable, punctual, and takes pride in the quality of finished work
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
