POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Shop Receiving / Warehouse Worker is responsible for warehouse/yard organization and upkeep, equipment and material in-flows and out-flows. They ensure a smooth and efficient operational flow of materials and equipment. They utilize company's computer system to accurately receive materials and equipment and verify to Purchase Order system.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Receive and label material deliveries to be staged in appropriate areas
Maintain the cleanliness of warehouse, yard, building grounds and shop inventory
Pick up parts and equipment from suppliers & deliver parts to jobs as necessary
Mobilize equipment and materials for scheduled jobs
Ability to drive truck and trailers to off-site locations
Accurately confirm materials and equipment to Purchase Orders and Workorders
Performs additional duties and responsibilities to help facilitate company operations
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Experience:
General Computer skills and experience
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Able to lift 50 pounds
Preferred Qualifications
Forklift experience
Experience using a Shipping/Receiving software
Basic tool and equipment knowledge, use and skills
General mechanical abilities
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Verbal & written communication skills
Attention to detail and organization
