We are seeking a Systems Engineer to contribute to the development of advanced inspection tools used in leading-edge semiconductor manufacturing. This role involves designing and running experiments, analyzing data, and developing algorithm prototypes to solve complex technical challenges. You’ll work closely with a multidisciplinary team and interface with customers to support the deployment and improvement of inspection solutions on some of the most advanced semiconductor devices.
The position requires a strong foundation in programming, data analysis, and image processing, as well as the ability to communicate technical findings effectively. Responsibilities
- Develop new features and capabilities for semiconductor inspection tools
- Design and run experiments to test algorithms and hardware performance under real-world conditions
- Prototype and implement algorithms using Python
- Analyze large data sets to evaluate system behavior and guide system behavior using Pandas, Exensio, and machine learning tools
- Document findings and present technical results to both internal teams and external customers
- Investigate customer-reported issues and contribute to field support with data-driven insights
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including software, hardware, and applications engineering
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to refine tools, processes, and product capabilities
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in CS, EE, ME, Materials Science, Applied Physics, or related field
- 1-5 yrs Python / Java / C or similar programming language
- Experience with data analysis (Pandas, NumPy, etc.) and image processing (OpenCV or similar)
- Experience with data visualization (Spotfire, Pyplot/Seaborn, Matlab, Tableau, etc.)
- Good oral and written communication skills

- Some exposure to HDL (Verilog, System Verilog, VHDL)
- Understanding of semiconductor manufacturing process. Cleanroom experience.
- Experience with electron microscopes (SEM, TEM) or other ebeam or semiconductor test equipment.
- Exposure to machine learning workflows and experience using libraries such as Scikit-learn or TensorFlow for data analysis or prototyping
- LabView experience is a plus
