Summary of Position:
Under general supervision, with some exercise of judgment, prepares computer-generated engineering drawings according to established standards and procedures using computer-aided design (CAD) software programs.
- Responsible for small to medium size Revit projects in accordance with PCS standards.
- Interprets schematic designs to create layout of model.
- Creates basic view, template, and sheet structures for small to medium sized projects.
- Performs medium level modeling tasks, primarily performs secondary or support modeling and detailing tasks on large projects for Senior BIM techs.
- Capable of modeling elements up to a level 300.
- Capable of creating addendums sets and sketches.
- Revises or changes drawings, traces and/or copies existing drawings, and completes simple calculations with specific instructions.
- Meets deadlines with schedule and offers progress reports.
- Assists in the training of BIM Technician I.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Associates Degree in Computer-Aided Design, Architectural Design or Construction Management or related field. Equivalent experience may be substituted for education.
- 1 - 7 years of experience with Revit/AutoCAD software programs.
- 1 - 7 years of understanding construction systems in relation to modeling. Ex: wood framing, CFS framing, steel framing, masonry layout, concrete reinforcement and post tensioning.
- Basic understanding of construction means and methods. Ex: formwork, shoring, erection and demolition.
