Position Overview:
We’re looking for a skilled, customer-focused Onsite Support Technician to join our growing team. The primary responsibility of this role is to provide on-site technical assistance, troubleshooting, and support to our clients. The Onsite Technician will be an integral part of our service delivery, ensuring the smooth operation of our clients' IT infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct on-site visits to client locations for technical support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, and network systems.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to hardware, software, and networking components.
- Perform system upgrades and provide technical recommendations to enhance clients' IT environments.
- Collaborate with the remote support team to escalate and resolve complex issues.
- Ensure documentation of all on-site visits, technical issues, and resolutions for reference and future improvements.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain strong relationships with clients.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in the IT field.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Onsite Technician or similar role in an MSP or IT support environment.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving technical issues in hardware, software, and networking systems.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems, as well as common business applications.
- Experience in installing and configuring hardware, software, and network devices.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to manage time efficiently.
- Valid driver's license and the ability to travel to client locations as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A minimum of two years of relevant experience working in a similar role within an MSP, IT support environment or related field
- Certification in relevant IT areas (e.g., CompTIA A , Microsoft Certified IT Professional)
Education:
- A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a relevant field is preferred.
Location: PCR Business Systems is located in Akron, Ohio. This position involves travel to various client sites within Northeast Ohio. Company vehicle provided.
