NOW HIRING: HR & Payroll Administrative Assistant
Professional Cleaning & Maintenance Services (PCMS)
Lafayette, LA | Full-Time | In-Office
PCMS is seeking a dependable, organized assistant to support human resources, payroll processing, and daily office operations for our commercial cleaning and maintenance company. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, keeping records accurate, and helping a busy office stay on track.
Responsibilities
- Assist with preparing new-hire paperwork.
- Support employee onboarding, orientation, and personnel file maintenance.
- Track required employee documentation, training records, and other employment requirements.
- Review timesheets and timekeeping records for missing punches or discrepancies.
- Assist with payroll preparation, data entry, and processing.
- Help maintain accurate employee pay rates, deductions, and approved changes.
- Respond to routine employee questions and direct concerns to the appropriate manager.
- Assist with reports, filing, emails, phone calls, and other administrative duties.
- Handle employee and payroll information with discretion and confidentiality.
Qualifications
- Previous administrative or office experience required; HR or payroll experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accurate data-entry skills.
- Good communication, organization, and time-management skills.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook.
- Experience with BambooHR, QuickBooks, or timekeeping software is a plus.
- Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple tasks, and work well with a team.
