Role Description The Electrician role at PCL INDUSTRIAL SERVICES, INC. is a full-time hybrid position based in Gilbert, AZ, with some work-from-home flexibility for planning, documentation, and coordination tasks. On a day-to-day basis, the Electrician installs, maintains, and repairs electrical systems and equipment in industrial and commercial settings, following relevant codes and safety standards. Responsibilities include reading and interpreting electrical drawings, performing wiring and conduit work, testing systems, diagnosing faults, and completing corrective repairs. The Electrician also performs routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting to minimize downtime and ensure reliable operation of electrical infrastructure. Collaboration with project managers, engineers, and other trades is required to support project schedules, safety procedures, and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of electricity principles and electrical work practices, including safe handling of electrical systems.
- Hands-on experience with maintenance & repair of industrial or commercial electrical equipment and systems.
- Proficient troubleshooting skills for identifying, diagnosing, and resolving electrical issues efficiently.
- Understanding of basic electrical engineering concepts related to system design, load calculations, and circuit protection.
- Relevant trade certification or journeyperson electrician status; state or local electrical license strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with National Electrical Code (NEC), local regulations, and industrial safety standards.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Capacity to perform physically demanding tasks, including standing, lifting, and working in various field conditions, with appropriate accommodations available.
