We are seeking experienced CERTIFIED ADVANCED RIGGER JOURNEYMAN

As an ADVANCED RIGGER JOURNEYMAN for our SAMSUNG PROJECT in Taylor, Texas you will contribute to our team by:

• Must pass full background
• Must pass Drug Test and Alcohol test
• Must have Basic Plus or Basic Refresher
• Must have Rigger certifications.

• Safe use of Hand & Power Tools.

• Work safely at all times and promote safety to others around you.

• Strong working knowledge of and experience working with rigging and lifting systems.

• Perform quality work as determined by the project specifications.

• Accountable for all tools and materials at the end of your shift.

• Assist immediate supervisor with aligning future tasks to be completed.

• Must work well as part of a team.

• Keep a clean work area.

• Read blueprints, schematic drawings, and lift plans to determine work procedures.

• Ensure that all rigging equipment is in good working condition.

• Ensure that all rigging equipment is inspected and certified per standards.

• Ensure all proper lifting plans are in order and followed prior to applicable lifts.

• Ensure areas are barricaded and travel path is clear prior to any overhead lift.

• Attaches pulley and blocks to fixed overhead structures such as beams, ceilings, and gin pole booms using bolts and clamps.

• Attaches load with grappling devices such as loops, wires, ropes, and chains to crane hook.

• Sets up, braces, and rigs hoisting equipment using hand tools and power wrenches.

• Work within all PCL and client guidelines.

• Prioritize tasks according to job schedule and direction.

• Get all tools and materials used by your crew to the proper place at the beginning and end of your shift.

• Assist in assuring all required PCL and client Safety and QA/QC forms are properly filled out with all necessary signatures.

• Keep track of all components and materials for your project tasks.

• Participate fully in health, safety, quality, and environmental processes.

• Ambassador for PCL to the client, other contractors, and the public.

What you will bring to the role:

• Four or more years of experience in the industrial Rigging industry (petrochemical, power plant, cement plant) or related field
• • Strong math knowledge and skills as related to the job tasks. Able to add, subtract, multiple, and divide whole numbers and fractions rapidly and accurately.
  • Able to effectively use verbal and written communication skills.
  • A general knowledge of standard rigging procedures and OSHA standards
  • Sound knowledge of rigging skills.
  • Able to use a tag line to position and control materials and equipment.
  • Able to read, understand, and follow lift plans
  • Know and understand industry standard signals for flagging lifting equipment.
  • Have basic knot tying skills.
  • Understand and use all crane hand signals.
  • A thorough knowledge of the standard methods of safely rigging and lifting equipment and materials such as structural steel, pipe conduit, vessels, rotating equipment, heaters, etc.
  • Successfully complete the appropriate PCL skills assessment tests.
• 
  Current TWIC Card required.
