We are seeking experienced Mechanical / Underground Pipefitter Foreman for a project in El Paso, Tx. Pay range is negotiable. Project has a duration of 3 years, and weekly hours are 45 hours or more per week
Responsibilities
- Perform layout, excavation, and installation of underground utilities in accordance with project plans and specifications.
- Install above‑ground mechanical piping systems, including pipe supports and accessories.
- Work with ductile iron, PVC, and C900 pipe and fittings.
- Perform rerouting of sewer and drain lines as required.
- Demo and install diffusers, bar screens, UV systems, and monorails.
- Verify line, grade, slopes, and elevations using pipe lasers, GPS modeling equipment, levels, and grade rods.
- Assist with grading and trench preparation to meet project requirements.
- Coordinate closely with the Foreman and crew to execute work safely and efficiently.
- Adhere strictly to all job‑site safety procedures and OSHA requirements.
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong understanding of job‑site safety and OSHA regulations; ability to create and maintain a safe work environment.
- Ability to identify, take off, and communicate tool and material requirements to supervision.
- Experience setting mechanical equipment, including boilers, pumps, expansion tanks, dirt/air separators, and heat exchangers.
- Ability to set up and perform piping pressure and leakage tests.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify installation conflicts or issues and elevate them to the Foreman or General Foreman.
- Self‑motivated with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the job site.
- Must comply with the company’s drug‑free workplace policy, including pre‑employment and job‑related drug testing.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
