What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chemical Lab Operator position at PCI?
Chemical Lab Operator
5 to 15 years of recent chemical operations experience, ideally in chemical or non-pharmaceutical plant operations; or as a plant maintenance mechanic with electronic/controls skills
Responsibilities include:
* Operates laboratory and production equipment including reactors, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, filtration systems, analytical instruments, and safety/containment equipment. Handles routine testing, measurement, and documentation while maintaining safe and compliant lab conditions.
* Perform testing of products
* Operate PLC control panels
* Hands-on assembly/disassembly of equipment
* Experienced in operation of process units
* Responsible for independently running equipment
* Record and analyze data from process runs.
* Set up controls for recording of data on PLC and other data recording devices.
* Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on lab equipment.
* Accurately weigh and ensure that the correct ingredients are used as indicated in the manufacturing order
* Maintain good written, verbal communication with management, engineers and mechanics
* Follow all company safety policies, good manufacturing practices and maintain good hygiene
* Work with reactors, pumps, filter press, spray dryers, GMP etc.
* Over Time
Experience: 5-10 years recent chemical operations experience, ideally in chemical plant operations; or as a plant maintenance mechanic with electronic/controls skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $33.00 per hour
