Job Description
Job duties may include but are not limited to the following:
Assists carpenters by holding and securing lumber used in build process; ensures lumber is level or plumb during installation.
Assists with building forms for pouring concrete.
Prepares work area by transporting needed tools and equipment from storage facility.
Loads and unloads building materials to be used on construction projects.
Builds and disassembles scaffolding, bracing, and other temporary structures used on construction sites.
Removes debris and possible hazards to keep construction sites clean and safe.
Digs trenches and holes needed in construction projects.
Keep machines serviced.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Ability to follow instructions from supervisors, foremen, and carpenters.
Knowledge of carpentry and construction techniques and procedures.
No previous experience necessary; on-the-job training offered
No supervisory responsibilities.
This position is safety-sensitive.
Requirements
Ability to perform basic math
Must be at least 18 years old
Prolonged periods standing and working outside
Physically able to perform assigned tasks
Must be able to lift 40 pounds at a time
