Unarmed Security Officer

If you do not have your State of Florida Class D Security License, Or have not enrolled in a State of Florida licensed security training school DO NOT APPLY.At our security company, quality starts and ends with our security officers. Patrol officers are instructed and to serve as a general security presence and visible deterrent to crime and client property infractions, detect suspicious activities and watch for criminal acts or client property infractions at or near assigned post which may be a threat to the property, client or employees at the site. As an officer you are to report all incidents, accidents or medical emergencies. Respond to all emergencies, such as medical, and to alarms, such as fire and intrusion by following emergency response proceedings.*IMPORTANT*While performing the basic functions of this position, the employee may be regularly required to handle extensive standing, stooping, walking, use of hands to feel or handle objects, reach with arms, climb or balance, kneel, crouch, or crawl and lift or move objects up to 25 pounds.This function will also involve the intermittent performance of extremely physically demanding work, typically involving some combination of reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, running, climbing, and the lifting, pushing, manipulation of objects in excess of 25 pounds.Some job tasks may involve the intermittent exposure to the elements including heat, cold, humidity, inclement weather, loud noise, toxic/chemical agents, electrical currents, pathogens, violent behavior, weapons, explosives, animals, and traffic. Tasks may include working around moving parts, vehicles, equipment, carts, and general situations where heightened awareness to surroundings and environment is essential to the preservation of life or property.Security Officer Basic Qualifications:Must be at least 18 years of age or older as required by applicable law or contractual requirements.At least one verifiable employer.No criminal convictions as specified under PCI guidelines.Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing in the English language for the purpose of public interaction and report writing.Authorized to work in the United States.Ability to perform essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.Negative result on pre-employment drug screen.Ability to maintain satisfactory attendance and punctuality standard.Neat and professional appearance.Friendly and professional demeanor.Ability to provide quality customer service.Ability to handle typical and crisis situations efficiently and effectively at client site.(SERIOUS INQUIRES ONLY!!!!!)
