What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Employee position at PCI Municipal Services?
Maintenance team members are responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across all parking facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform sweeping and cleaning of garages, lots, curbs, stairs, walkways, elevator areas, and drive lanes
- Empty trash cans and replace liners as needed
- Mop floors in elevators, landings, and other designated areas
- Clean restrooms and breakrooms; replenish supplies and maintain sanitary conditions
- Operate company vehicles safely in accordance with company policies
- Perform snow and ice removal tasks, including shoveling and applying de-icing products
- Complete maintenance tasks such as graffiti removal, light bulb replacement, and painting
- Perform other duties as assigned
Working conditions and environment:
- Maintenance employees work up to 90% of the time outside and should be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Repetitive use of hands, grasping and holding tools, extensive walking, standing, bending, reaching, crouching, grasping, twisting, and stair climbing.
- Position regularly works with various cleaning solvents, and hazardous substances for removal of graffiti, cleaning, painting, and other applications.
- Environmental conditions include working in the weather of all types. Capable of working in extreme cold, heat, and high wind conditions for extended periods.
Qualifications:
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior janitorial, maintenance, or grounds keeping experience a plus
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor in varying weather conditions
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (required for vehicle operation)
- Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
