Job Summary
The Pulse Operator is responsible for operating and optimizing high-speed inserting equipment to ensure production goals for quality, efficiency, and accuracy are achieved. This role plays a critical part in maintaining workflow continuity, monitoring machine performance, and ensuring all materials are processed in accordance with standard work and compliance requirements.
The Pulse Operator is accountable for the overall quality of production output and for proactively identifying and resolving issues to minimize downtime and rework.

Some General Duties/Responsibilities
- Follow all Standard Work procedures and operational guidelines
- Set up, operate, monitor, and troubleshoot inserting equipment to maintain optimal performance
- Ensure all quality control (QC) procedures are followed, including completion of logs, checklists, and required system entries (MRDF, DCS, etc.)
- Independently manage production flow and ensure jobs are completed accurately and on schedule
- Monitor workflow and production output to maintain efficiency and meet performance targets
- Perform and document preventative maintenance routines to support equipment reliability
- Verifying all jobs are properly set up and meet specifications prior to production
- Inspect materials and output using visual and quality analysis to ensure adherence to standards
- Identify and resolve issues early to reduce waste, downtime, and rework
- Make adjustments to equipment to maintain consistent production quality and efficiency
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Mail Dispatch, Warehouse, Shipping, and technical teams
- Maintain a clean, organized work environment aligned with 5S standards
- Adhere to all safety and OSHA requirements
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the operation
- Comply with all current and future security and regulatory requirements
- Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership
Education/Experience
- High School Diploma or G.E.D., vocational or technical school diploma or certificate.
- Experience in similar mail facility with working knowledge of Inserting Machines desired.
- Working knowledge of Pitney Bowes and Bell and Howell inserting machines or other similar high-volume/high speed inserting machines with regard to operation, minor set-up adjustment and safety preferred. Must have computer skills; understand work flows, comprehensive of job tickets, have attention to detail, positive attitude and a team player.
