Custodian Lead

Fortis Industries LLC is interviewing for the position of Custodian Lead on our newly awarded contract for the General Service Administration located in Ft Worth.

The Custodian Lead will report to the Project Manager with overall accountability for all custodial services including those completed weekly, monthly, and periodic.

Position Summary

Responsible for the supervision, performance, and control of all housekeeping, custodial and related services associated with this contract.

General Responsibilities

• Knowledge of contract requirements and schedules.
• Maintains proper skilled staffing levels specified in schedules.
• Responsible for adherence to quality control and performance benchmarks.
• Assures that work responsibilities are properly allocated among subordinates.
• Responsible for training of subordinate personnel in performance of their prescribed duties.
• Develops and implements work methods and procedures designed to achieve low-cost, efficient operations.
• Counsels and coordinates with Day Supervisor on all matters relating to services performed.
• Establishes performance standards for each phase of work, where practical.
• Issues reports and summaries as required.
• Meets periodically with subordinates to review status of various elements of facility services and to institute corrective measures for any deficiencies discovered.
• Performs any additional duties on an "as required" basis where such duties are within the scope of contractual limitations.
• Oversee all grounds maintenance performed on the contract.
  
  

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years of recent experience in the supervision of custodial and floor/carpet services and related housekeeping employees performing cleaning functions in office buildings.
• Must have a working knowledge of all housekeeping tools and equipment.
• Must have general hands-on knowledge of both routine nightly and daytime building cleaning and related services.
• Requirement for bi-lingual candidates (English/Spanish).
• Written and verbal communication skills to provide quality customer service
• Ability to learn and adapt to technological advances

Education

Graduate of a technical/trade school or high school diploma and related experience required.

Pay

$21.32 per hour, plus $7.85 an hour up to 40 hours for Health & Welfare monies.
