Line Cook (Full Time)

As a Line Cook at Renaissance Birmingham Ross Bridge, you’ll play an important role in creating the food and experiences our guests remember. Working alongside our talented chefs and culinary team, you’ll prepare and cook a variety of dishes while learning, growing, and building your culinary skills in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Whether you're working in one of our hotel restaurants, Pastry Kitchen, or Banquet Kitchen, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to everything from everyday dining to special events and celebrations.

What You'll Do: 

• Prepare and cook a variety of menu items according to recipes, production lists, and direction from chefs and culinary supervisors.
• Create high-quality dishes with attention to flavor, presentation, portion size, and consistency.
• Follow recipes and preparation standards to ensure every dish meets our culinary expectations.
• Work your assigned station efficiently and accurately during service while keeping pace in a fast-moving kitchen.
• Plate and present dishes according to established presentation standards.
• Assist with food preparation and production for restaurants, banquets, and other food outlets as needed.
• Follow production lists and help ensure the kitchen is properly prepared for each service period.
• Track production, usage, and leftovers to help the culinary team manage food efficiently and minimize waste.
• Keep your station clean and organized throughout the shift and maintain a clean service line and kitchen environment.
• Properly use, clean, and maintain kitchen equipment while following safety procedures.
• Follow proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices to maintain a safe and healthy kitchen.
• Work closely with chefs and fellow culinary team members to ensure smooth and efficient service.
• Learn and develop your culinary skills by working with experienced chefs and gaining hands-on experience across different areas of the operation.
