As the Director of Restaurants, you will lead the full spectrum of our resort’s dining operations, from award-winning restaurants and lounges to in-room dining. You’ll bring vision, strategy, and hands-on leadership to ensure service excellence, operational efficiency, and revenue growth. With a passion for hospitality and a focus on team development, you'll create a dining culture that is as rich and inviting as the Grand itself.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Excellence: Oversee the day-to-day operations of all restaurant outlets, lounges, bars, and in-room dining, ensuring adherence to brand standards, quality, and exceptional guest service.
- Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and inspire a team of food & beverage professionals. Foster a positive, performance-driven culture built on empowerment, development, and recognition.
- Guest Experience & Satisfaction: Lead by example in delivering memorable guest interactions. Address feedback with urgency and grace to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
- Training & Standards: Ensure team compliance with safety protocols, service guidelines, and sanitation standards through regular training, supervision, and coaching.
- Inventory & Resource Management: Manage food, beverage, and supply inventories, as well as equipment and uniform needs. Monitor resource usage for efficiency and budget alignment.
- Strategic Planning & Innovation: Collaborate with culinary and event teams to introduce new menus, pricing strategies, and service enhancements based on trends and guest feedback.
- Financial Performance: Monitor outlet revenues, labor costs, and expenses. Implement strategies for upselling and cost control to meet or exceed profitability goals.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal health and safety standards. Maintain active relationships with vendors and regulatory agencies.
- Banquet Coordination Support: Partner with the banquet and culinary teams to coordinate service for events, ensuring a seamless guest experience across all dining platforms.
- Continuous Improvement: Champion a culture of excellence, regularly soliciting feedback from guests and staff to enhance performance and guest satisfaction.
Education & Experience Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years in food & beverage leadership, preferably with front-of-house experience in a luxury or high-volume environment.
- Valid food safety and alcohol service certifications as required by local and state regulations.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds occasionally; must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
- On-site presence required in both office and restaurant settings.
