We are seeking a full-time, on-site Medical Assistant to join our compassionate and collaborative team in Chicago, IL. The Medical Assistant will support clinical staff by preparing patients for exams, assisting with medical procedures, recording vital signs, managing medical records, and ensuring examination rooms are clean and stocked. This role involves direct patient interaction and requires a commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care. The Medical Assistant will also contribute to maintaining efficient clinical operations and upholding PCC’s mission to provide accessible, holistic healthcare services.
- Proficiency in conducting patient assessments, taking vital signs, and documenting medical records
- Experience in providing clinical assistance during medical procedures and maintaining examination room readiness
- Strong skills in communication, interpersonal relations, and offering compassionate patient care
- Organizational and multitasking abilities to manage daily workflows effectively
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) is preferred
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems is a plus
- Commitment to providing equitable and respectful care to diverse populations
- Prior experience in a community health center is beneficial
