As a Manufacturing Quality Engineer with Temposonics, LLC., you will champion the Quality Management System (QMS) in the Cary, NC plant; provide and champion QMS software training, along with driving projects to improve the performance of the QMS and QMS software. This position serves as the administrator for document control in our facility including forms, sheets, procedures and instructions. In addition, this individual will host and lead audits pertaining to regulatory and agency certifications.
Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Quality Management System (QMS)
- Administrate, develop, implement, and maintain (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001:15Maintain the quality manuals and procedures to ensure the accurate content for our business needs
- Provide training on QMS use and process adherence
- Maintain the Standard Operating Procedure content and coordinate the issuing of these documents
- Drive Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) pertaining to QMS use and process adherence
- Conduct benchmarking studies to determine QMS best practices/designs and future trends
- Internal and External Audits
- Conduct Quality Systems audits and assist in training/guidance to other auditors
- Organize and administrate the plant internal audit system and the corrective action reporting system
- Host external Quality System audits
- R&D Support
- Reviews product documentation before release with engineering for completeness, clarity and adherence to relevant design standards
- Generates Design-FMEA with design engineers and highlights major failure modes Generates Process-FMEA with Engineering and Manufacturing, and highlights major failure modes
- Participates in creation of validation and qualification plans keeping in line with relevant standards
- Creates validation and verification results package for internal and customer distribution
- Serves as ECO / ECR facilitator and Process champion by ensuring that each has a sound justification and overall tasks are on track for completion.

- Undertake special projects as required
- Support and lead process improvement activities
- Write reports and present progress at project meetings
Qualifications:
Education
Minimum: Associates in Science degree or equivalent experience
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in electrical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
Experience
Minimum
- 5 years in Quality Assurance roles
- 3 years in QMS administration in an ISO manufacturing/assembly environment
- 3 years in Document Control in fast-paced manufacturing/assembly environment
- Knowledgeable in ETQ, BabtecQ or other QMS software
- Knowledgeable in QuickBase or other custom task management applications
- Knowledgeable in LN, Baan or other ERP systems
- Knowledgeable in MS Office packages
- ASQ Certified Quality Auditor or AQS Certified Quality Engineer
- Results oriented with track record of driving change in a cross-functional environments
Preferred
- LEAN and or formal Continuous improvement experience required, 3 years
- Completed ISO/TS 16949 Quality Standards training or Management System Certification
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in similar position, preferably in the Mobile Hydraulics or Automotive Industry
- Good verbal and written English communication skills
