Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Computer Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing good customer service and a desire to build their technical skills. This role requires a good understanding of various operating systems, hardware, and networking concepts, along with excellent customer service skills. The Computer Technician will play a crucial role in store operations and maintaining customer relations.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for hardware and software issues across various platforms including Windows, macOS, and Linux.
- Manage computer systems, including installation, configuration, and maintenance of operating systems and applications.
- Follow a diagnostic process and determine the cause of computer issues.
- Troubleshoot software issues and perform necessary repairs or upgrades.
- Manage tickets and communication in an IT-based CRM system.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by communicating in a timely fashion.
- Maintain effective communication throughout the resolution process.
- Build customer relationships by providing excellent service
Experience
- Knowledge of computer hardware/software components and troubleshooting techniques.
- Familiarity with Microsoft/Mac/Linux operating systems, applications, and other common software tools.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical people.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving with a strong attention to detail. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about technology and eager to provide exceptional service while supporting an organization's IT needs.
Notes
- Experience with Apple computers, replacing screens on laptops, battery replacement, virus removal, and reinstalling operating systems is preferred.
- This is a full-time position that may occasionally have overtime hours available.
- PTO is available for use after 1 year of employment.
- Must have a valid Driver's license, working vehicle, and active insurance for client onsite work.
- Ability to gain experience working with a Managed Service Provider (MSP) IT company.
