PC is seeking a Commissioning Manager to join our growing Charlotte, NC team. The right candidate will have a degree in engineering or construction management, along with 5-7 years of construction experience on Water or Wastewater Treatment facilities. The Commissioning Manager will assess plans and specifications to develop commissioning plans and objectives for each project. The person in this role will work with the owner, engineer, and the PC project team throughout the construction process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enforce the site-specific safety plan.
- Monitor subcontractors and enforce compliance with PC safety policies and OSHA and other safety regulations.
- Interact professionally with owners, vendors, employees, and subcontractors.
- Assist Business Development by providing technical resources and participation on project proposals and interviews.
- Review a project’s commissioning contractual requirements and assist the project management team with development of the plan.
- Support the implementation of that plan throughout the life of the project, guaranteeing a smooth start-up process, turnover and closeout.
- Oversee the proper installation, start-up and operation of equipment, based on the design.
- Participate in design reviews and advise on impacts to commissioning.
- Advise partners on means and methods to optimize the process.
- Develop standard commissioning documents for operations and estimating bid sheets.
- Provide a comprehensive document management system and including historical process data
- Produce technical documents, work plans, reports, procedures, maintenance records, and any other related documentation relevant to the commissioning and care of systems and specific to each project.
- Plan and schedule commissioning work items in partnership with others on the project team.
- Assign tasks, areas of responsibility, and performance requirements to direct reports.
- Mentor and coach direct reports to support the achievement of goals and to support effective job performance.
- Serve as a resource for project team members, owners, engineers for electrical, mechanical, instrumentation and control questions.
