Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Heavy Duty Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess experience with Steering, Suspension and Brake work. This role involves working with various heavy equipment, including Tractor, Trailer, and other Class 5-8 vehicles.
Duties
- Diagnostics and troubleshooting.
- Conduct repairs on heavy equipment
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for assembly and repair tasks.
- Inspect and repair hydraulic systems, air & hydraulic brakes, suspensions and steering systems.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and customer satisfaction.
- Adhere to safety protocols while performing maintenance tasks in compliance with industry standards.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in heavy duty diagnostics and repair.
- Familiarity with schematics related to heavy equipment operations.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding techniques.
- Experience with vehicle maintenance including air & hydraulic brake repair, alignment, shocks & struts.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for equipment repairs.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on customer service.
- Previous experience of 5 yrs minimum is required.
- Knowledge of fabrication processes is a plus.
- A CDL is also a plus but not required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
