Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Janitor/Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities. Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all designated areas.
- Handle various cleaning agents and chemicals safely, following all chemical handling safety procedures to prevent accidents or contamination.
- Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and vacuums to maintain floors and surfaces in excellent condition.
- Conduct sanitation of restrooms, kitchens, and common areas to ensure compliance with health standards.
- Assist with custodial responsibilities related to facilities maintenance, including minor repairs or reporting larger issues for prompt resolution.
- Follow safety protocols during heavy lifting or manual handling tasks to prevent injuries.
- Support industrial or commercial cleaning projects as needed, including specialized floor care and custodial services.
Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning or janitorial roles with a strong understanding of custodial procedures.
- Knowledge of chemical agent handling safety procedures and proper use of cleaning equipment.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safe lifting practices.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on sanitation standards and facility cleanliness.
- Strong customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors when necessary.
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or painting is a plus.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments while maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency.
