Test Technician

Position Summary:

Test Technicians are responsible for testing procedures, compiling data, and helping to establish standards to ensure all products meet quality standards prior to product being sent to customers. Additionally, they may be asked to work collaboratively on customer service issues, with design teams, and with the production floor to identify possible anomalies or enhance product performance.

Responsibilities:

1. Test and troubleshoot production electronic components and assemblies to ensure quality standards are met or exceeded

2. Utilize tools and equipment required for testing procedures to include the use of multi-meter, various PBE test fixtures, and customer provided test equipment

3. Maintain all testing equipment to ensure maximum efficiency. This may include repairing broken wires, replacing batteries, cleaning components, etc.

4. Read and interpret engineering prints, instructions, and specifications on drawings.

5. Works in conjunction with production, sometimes assisting in production to maintain schedule and to oversee the repair of assemblies

6. Record test data

7. Collaborate with the electrical engineering team to troubleshoot layout, assembly, or potential issues related to assembly

8. Recommend when changes in circuitry or installation specifications to simplify assembly, reduce assembly hours, or streamline maintenance processes

9. Conduct functional, operation, environmental, and live testing procedures to evaluate performance and reliability of product line

Education/Work Experience:

· Associate Degree in electronics, electrical and electronics equipment repair, electronic technology or other related specialty preferred

· Trade school or military training in a related field

· Experience in the electronic/electrical industry preferred

Physical Demands:

While performing duties, the employee may be required to sit for periods of time at a computer or desk, work with their hands, stand, walk, reach, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, push, pull, lift, or carry items up to 30 pounds. Additional requirements may include repetitive hand movement, fine coordination including the use of various tools and computer keyboards.

· Able to communicate effectively through written and verbal methods

· Computer skills should include extensive knowledge in Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.

· Ability to maintain and foster a safe, organized work area

· Able to adapt to a fast-paced environment

· Ability to analyze abstract information, creatively solve problems, interpret testing results, and utilize mathematical skills as required

· Attention to detail and ability to correct as needed

· Ability to prioritize workflow to effectively meet deadlines

· Able to lift up to 30 pounds on occasion

· Ability to learn, and stay up to date, with electronic best practices

· Ability to learn product line and future products quickly

· Ability to take verbal and/or written instruction from supervisors

· Ability to report to work on time and consistently

· Ability to report to work for overtime during busy company cycles

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
