Job Title: Nurse Practitioner (Family Practice / Injury Clinic)
Location: Fort Pierce, FL
Job Type: Part-Time (1–3 days per week)
Schedule: Flexible (Weekday or weekend)
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our family practice and injury clinic. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals with acute injuries and general medical conditions. This role requires strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history and physical examinations
- Diagnose and treat acute injuries and common medical conditions
- Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests (e.g., X-rays, labs)
- Develop and implement treatment plans, including prescribing medications
- Perform minor procedures (e.g., wound care, suturing, splinting, injections)
- Provide patient education on injury prevention, treatment plans, and follow-up care
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records (EMR) documentation
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to ensure continuity of care
- Ensure compliance with all clinical, legal, and regulatory standards
Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted Florida Nurse Practitioner license
- Board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Adult-Gerontology NP
- DEA license (or ability to obtain)
- Minimum of 1–2 years of clinical experience preferred (urgent care, family practice, or injury/occupational health experience a plus)
- Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills
- Proficiency in EMR systems
- BLS/ACLS certification preferred
Preferred Skills
- Experience in injury care, workers’ compensation, or personal injury cases
- Ability to perform minor in-office procedures confidently
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/Creole) is a plus
