Job Title: Nurse Practitioner (Family Practice / Injury Clinic)

Location: Fort Pierce, FL
Job Type: Part-Time (1–3 days per week)
Schedule: Flexible (Weekday or weekend)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our family practice and injury clinic. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals with acute injuries and general medical conditions. This role requires strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history and physical examinations
  • Diagnose and treat acute injuries and common medical conditions
  • Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests (e.g., X-rays, labs)
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, including prescribing medications
  • Perform minor procedures (e.g., wound care, suturing, splinting, injections)
  • Provide patient education on injury prevention, treatment plans, and follow-up care
  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records (EMR) documentation
  • Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to ensure continuity of care
  • Ensure compliance with all clinical, legal, and regulatory standards

Qualifications

  • Active and unrestricted Florida Nurse Practitioner license
  • Board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Adult-Gerontology NP
  • DEA license (or ability to obtain)
  • Minimum of 1–2 years of clinical experience preferred (urgent care, family practice, or injury/occupational health experience a plus)
  • Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills
  • Proficiency in EMR systems
  • BLS/ACLS certification preferred

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in injury care, workers’ compensation, or personal injury cases
  • Ability to perform minor in-office procedures confidently
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/Creole) is a plus
