Career Nanny Wanted – Truckee, CA, 96161

A loving family in Truckee is seeking a nurturing, experienced, and confident nanny to care for their first baby girl, arriving in January 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to join a warm, collaborative household and grow with the family over the years.

Compensation
$30 /hour, DOE
Legal W-2 pay through a nanny payroll service
Guaranteed hours
Paid Time Off Sick Days

About the Family
This outdoorsy, easygoing Truckee couple works from home and values professionalism, warmth, and partnership. They are vegan and raising their daughter vegan (nanny meals with meat allowed, just not cooked in the home). They enjoy skiing, hiking, and daily outdoor activity, and hope for a nanny who shares their love for exploration and fresh air. The family has a sleepy old pug (no care required).

The Ideal Candidate

• Experienced career nanny with extensive newborn–toddler experience
• Knowledgeable about developmental milestones and flexible in approach
• Calm, confident, and warm with a collaborative mindset
• Organized, proactive, and helpful with household tasks during downtime
• Outdoor-loving, activity-focused, and excited to plan outings
• Aligned with the family’s values: vegan, screen-free environment, privacy
• Local to Truckee preferred, but Reno candidates considered

Responsibilities
Childcare Focus:

• Provide loving, attentive care for the infant
• Support daily routines, feeding, naps, and developmentally appropriate play
• Encourage exploration, curiosity, outdoor time, and sensory experiences
• Track developmental progress and partner with parents on milestones
• Plan engaging activities and outings as the baby grows

Household Support (during downtime or baby naps):

• Kitchen tidying: dishes, wiping counters, general upkeep
• Laundry: washing, drying, folding, and putting away
• Light household tasks to keep the home running smoothly
• Baby-related tasks: bottles, baby laundry, nursery organization

Light Housekeeping Expectations

• Maintain tidy shared spaces
• Support household flow to allow parents to focus on work and bonding

Qualifications & Requirements

• Up-to-date vaccinations, including an annual flu shot
• Commitment: minimum 1-year, ideally multi-year
• Enjoys being outdoors and active
• Open, communicative, and collaborative
