We are a growing business with multiple companies, providing payroll and administrative services internally and also for our many clients, in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Duties
- Process payroll accurately and on schedule for multiple companies
- Assist with employee onboarding, including documentation and setup
- Provide customer service support by phone, email, text, and in person
- Perform data entry tasks related to payroll, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Handle light bookkeeping tasks, including recording transactions and reconciling accounts
- Conduct analysis of payroll data to identify discrepancies or trends that require attention.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports related to payroll expenses for management review.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations concerning payroll processing.
- Support accounts payable and receivable functions as needed, including governmental accounting practices.
- Manage multiple tasks and priorities each day with strong attention to detail
- Maintain general ledger accounting records related to payroll transactions.
- Support general administrative needs and special projects as assigned
Requirements
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Good with numbers; logical and analytical thinking skills
- Excellent attendance and reliability record (high school/work history)
- Strong communication and customer service skills across multiple platforms (telephone, email, text, and in person)
- Ability to balance multiple tasks and deadlines daily
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) AND Google Docs/Sheets
- Proficiency with QuickBooks desktop and Online.
- Prior experience in payroll, bookkeeping, or administrative work is a plus (training provided for the right candidate)
- Must be able to work with and get along with others and avoid drama.
- Excellent data entry skills with a focus on accuracy (10 key typing).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.95 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
